Registration Instructions for eAYSO

U16/19 Spring Season Coed schedule

All U04-U14 Children need to bring with them plenty of water, cleats/tennis shoes, shin guards with socks that cover the shin guards, and a soccer ball.

All
We would like to welcome you and your child to the AYSO Spring Soccer Program.   Registration has happily exceeded our expectations and we are excited to have so many children interested in improving their soccer skills while at the same time having fun playing the world’s most popular sport – Soccer.

Given the large number of participants, we need volunteers to make this program work.  As described below, we will be splitting the players into small groups.  Each volunteer will be assigned a group of roughly 6 players with which to work.  You need not be a soccer expert to help.  The core program will be standardized across each age group.  As the children covered by this email are young, the program will be focused on basic skills.  Directing the kids should be easy.   If you can help, please let me know by sending an email to Dominic Butera - Dominic.Butera@iac.com or spring_season_coordinator_2@concordayso.org or Francisco Ordaz at spring_season_coordinator@concordayso.org or bestcountertop@ordazmarble.us.  Even if you cannot make every week, we can use your help.  If we get enough volunteers, we will be able to fill holes caused by absences.

In terms of volunteers needed, we need the following number by age group:

U4                        2 coach volunteers
U5 and U6           6 coach volunteers
U7 and U8           5 coach volunteers
U9 and U10         4 coach volunteers
U12                         2 coach volunteers
U14                        1 coach volunteers

Please have your son or daughter on the field and ready to play at 1pm.  For the safety of the children, please make sure your child is wearing shine guards and shoes, preferably cleats, appropriate for playing soccer in tall wet grass.  If your child has a soccer ball, have them bring that as well.

Each session will include roughly equal amounts of skills training and small sided games.  The players will be divided into groups of roughly 6 players to provide maximum touches, focused training and ease of supervision.   The groups will be coed and efforts will be made to make the groups as balanced as possible.  We want to create an environment where every child will have an opportunity for success.

Under 4, 5 and 6 players will train for about 45 minutes and play an organized game for about 45 minutes, with plenty of breaks.

Under 7 and 8 players will train for about 40 minutes and play 2 20 minute small sided games

Under 9 and 10 players will train for 1 hour, play small sided games for 30 minutes and play one full field scrimmage for 30 minutes.

Under 12 and 14 players will train for 1 hour, play small sided games for 30 minutes and play one full field scrimmage for 30 minutes
