I AM A Poem by Matthew Forbes I am an athlete with ambition, I wonder if one day I will become a professional athlete, I hear people cheering me on after I make a great play, I see myself holding a trophy above my head after winning an important tournament, I want to become a soccer player, I am an athlete with ambition. I pretend to score the winning goal in the final of the World Cup, I feel the strength to push forward and never give up, I touch the ball after putting it in the back of the net, I worry that something could ruin this dream for me, I cry about the fact that someday this dream might not come true, I am an athlete with ambition. I understand that this dream will be hard to reach, I say that no matter what I’ll achieve what I want to achieve, I dream that I’ll be the best to ever live, I try my hardest at everything everyday, I hope that someday this dream will come true, I am an athlete with ambition.
